Alcoholics Anonymous · Area 77 · Puerto Rico Web Coordinator Report · June 2026 Reporting period: May 1 – 30, 2026
pr-area77.org received 1,254 visits and approximately 2,000 pageviews during the month of May. Google Search shows 435 clicks and 5,200 impressions, meaning the site continues to reach people who are searching for Alcoholics Anonymous in Puerto Rico.
These numbers matter because behind each click is a person looking for a meeting. That is why the most important work we can do — month after month — is to make sure every meeting in our directory is current, accurate, and accessible. An outdated listing does not just affect a statistic. It may turn away someone who needed to find us.
Our trusted servant Pablito has been in direct contact with groups across the area, reaching out to gather updates and ensure our meeting information reflects what is actually happening on the ground. This is exactly the kind of service that makes the website a reliable resource for the still-suffering alcoholic.
An important matter to bring to the Area for consideration. The Puerto Rico Sobriety Network, a group that formed from a split within our area, has chosen to align with an area in Delaware rather than Area 77. The question before us is whether we continue to include them in our directory (website and Meeting Guide database). Keeping them listed may not be in perfect alignment with our service structure, as they have chosen to affiliate with another area. However, this group formed here and remains very much tethered to the island of Puerto Rico, and that must be taken into consideration. It is also worth noting that the Puerto Rico Sobriety Network is not asking for voting rights or any other special considerations within Area 77. This is simply us being responsible, sober alcoholics and always extending the hand of AA when needed. Until an Area-level decision is reached they are listed as a courtesy and a show of good faith. Their meetings remain part of this island and our primary purpose is always to reach the still-suffering alcoholic. We must always ask ourselves: what is the decision that promotes unity? I respectfully ask the committee to thoughtfully consider this matter and arrive at a compassionate decision that reflects our shared values.
As always, the message bears repeating: please keep your group's meeting information up to date. If your meeting has changed its time, location, or format, contact Paul at web.area77@pr-area77.org or submit an update at pr-area77.org/anadir-grupo.
I am humbled and grateful to be in your service,
Paul M.
